This time, he’s serving up barbecue and Southern-style side dishes, along some mouthwatering desserts. If you do decide to splurge on a little for-a-fee dining, you’ll want to certainly check out the new dining options that are exclusive to the vessel. The third Vista-class ship is Carnival Panorama, which first sailed in late 2019. However, Carnival Panorama stands apart from her sister ships, in that, unlike Carnival Horizon and Carnival Vista, rather than having an IMAX theater, she offers an indoor trampoline park. Interested in possibly taking this Carnival cruise ship for a whirl, or already made up your mind to book a cruise the next chance you get?
Other Ways to Have Fun
Deck 5 is Carnival Horizon's promenade deck, and you'll find lots of chairs and loungers here, too. The seating spaces form an outdoor extension of bars or restaurants, so you're never far from cocktails. During the day, passengers chill out, reading and having quiet conversation. At night, when the restaurants open, the space is open to diners. Carnival Horizon has enough recreation options to keep you busy for weeks -- or at least a weeklong cruise.
Tweens and Teens on Carnival Horizon
The Horizon is one of three Vista-class ships currently sailing with Carnival. Vista-class ships were the first ships to feature a brewery right on board. Other signature features of this class of ship are the 3-story Atrium with LED funnel, an exclusive Havana suite area, and SkyRide suspended bike track. The Horizon is very similar to its sister-ships; Vista and Panorama, although each ship may have some differences.

Balcony (7C)
Excellent cruise.loved the stops- getting in on and off the ship was super easy and convenient. We had a balcony room and that was great, staff was phenomenal and the food was top notch!!! Thank you for having a vegan menu it was awesome. The alchemy bar was lit! Only downfall was I had no luck in the casino- however was in the Elite club and that had some great perks to it, which made up for the losses.
Deck 5 also is home to the ship's library, which has a solid selection of books for reading while on your cruise. This space also is the ship's game room, where you'll find a variety of board games and cards along with plush chairs and sofas. Pixels Photo Gallery also is on Deck 5, and it's gone digital. Photographers onboard take lots of pictures of passengers throughout the cruise, and facial recognition software assigns it to the appropriate person. You can visit the gallery and swipe through the photos, purchasing any that appeal to you. You also can buy cameras and camera equipment here, including batteries and SD cards.

Whether you’re still deciding or you know for sure you’ll be on this ship in the near future, here’s everything you need to know about the Carnival Horizon cruise ship, so you’re prepped and ready for your cruise. Carnival Horizon's guest service desk is located on Deck 3, just off the atrium. This is also where you'll find the ship's shore excursion desk, called "Carnival Adventures." A number of shops, selling sundries, logo items, duty-free purchases, watches and the like are located on Decks 4 and 5. This includes passenger favorite, Cherry on Top, where you can buy bulk candy, including cute Carnival brand "whale tails." The SportsSquare, on Deck 12, is a colorful game area that gives passengers the chance to play Twister, four-person Ping-Pong, billiards, and mini-golf, among others.

Youth programs are supervised by counselors who have college degrees in related fields or professional childcare experience. For dinner, savor every morsel with the expansive dining room menu. For an even finer dining experience, take your date to the specialty steakhouse, (a nominal fee is charged.) Here you’ll enjoy mouthwatering gourmet cuisine. Plus, get oven-baked pizzas and calzones, salads, soft-serve ice cream, and frozen yogurt whenever the cravings strike.
ONBOARD DINING
When there isn't a Playlist Production, the Liquid Lounge also hosts guest entertainers, such as magicians and singers, along with shows like Hasbro, The Game Show and The Love and Marriage Show. During the day, the Liquid Lounge is the spot for events like seminars, bingo, dance classes, trivia and shore excursion. The casino is open day and night while at sea, so go ahead, pull the lever and go all in. Whether you’ve got a convincing poker face, feel like doubling down on blackjack, or want to whoop it up at the craps table, Carnival has a game for you.
So, if taking a class is important, visit the fitness center when you first get onboard. Signup sheets for all classes that will take place during your cruise are available. Free classes covering things like stretching and Zumba take place throughout your cruise (usually held in the Atrium). These aren't as intense as the paid classes and offer a nice way to start your day. Personal training and nutrition consultation also are available, for a fee.
Stay in one of these bliss-inducing rooms and you’ll also score priority spa reservations. Of course, Carnival Horizon also has ocean view and balcony staterooms—plus stylish interior staterooms for the best value around. Family life is the sweet life, whether on land or at sea… and especially when in a Family Harbor Suite. Your whole crew will enjoy not only the stretch-out space, huge balcony and other perks a suite offers, but a nautical décor specially-designed for Family Harbor staterooms.
Other watering holes are located next to the theater, in the casino, by the pool, in the adults-only Serenity area and in the library (which features a self-serve wine machine!). A brewhouse is connected to Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse. You can find four brews that are actually made onboard, at the ship’s brewery (but you can also find your favorites from around the world, of course). The Havana Bar also blends nicely with the ship’s new Havana-inspired suites, with its Cuban theming, Cuban coffee, and Cuban-style cocktails. Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse Brewhouse isn’t necessarily exclusive to Carnival Horizon, but when it premiered on the ship, it was the first of its kind. Like celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s Guy’s Burger Joint, this restaurant is another collaboration with the Food Network star, providing casual eats in a fun, family-friendly environment.
Covering two levels, it's a bit of a departure from traditional cruise ship theaters, in part because it's designed specifically to host the ship's Playlist Productions, which include LED special effects. The shows are a fun mix of music and technology (including aroma-infused sets), but sight lines are troublesome, especially in back, where you're battling large, silver pillars. If you want to see everything -- unobstructed -- arrive early. If you get there later and find an empty seat, chances are, it's got poor sightlines. Many passengers on our sailing elected to stand near the bar and behind the seats rather than risk obstructed views.
For quiet time without the kids, the Serenity Adult Only Retreat™ is a peaceful oasis, complete with a chopped salad station (open on sea days), so you can keep your body as healthy as your newly relaxed mind. Also on board is the Cloud 9 Spa™, with a full menu of treatments and thermal suites. But the excitement of stepping on board and checking out the ship’s cushy staterooms and amenities hits epic proportions when that ship is brand new. So, if you’re already planning your next vacation, it’s time to check out a virtual tour of Carnival’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon®.
While not exactly new, there are the Carnival staples, the RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, onboard the ship as well. One of these is the pool-side Seafood Shack, serving New England-style seafood, like clam chowder and lobster rolls, while the other is the JiJi Asian Kitchen, which offers a mix of Asian cuisines, from Indonesian to Chinese. Bonsai Teppanyaki is an off-shoot of the already familiar Carnival Bonsai Sushi. The hibachi-style eatery offers social dining experiences in a lively atmosphere. If you’ve already had your eye on some of Carnival’s newer ships, there are plenty of reasons to choose Carnival Horizon as your host.
Enjoy live music, coffee and snacks, dancing… and best of all the outdoors are right next door, so expect extra helpings of sunshine and sea breezes, simply ripe for the sitting and savoring.
